Meridian, MS (August 19, 2020) – Last evening, August 18, several people were injured in a two-car crash in Meridian.
The accident, which happened around 6:45 p.m., took place at the intersection of 7th Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive when two vehicles collided at the intersection. The SUV involved immediately rolled over onto its roof.
Paramedics and fire crews were dispatched to the scene of the collision. Fire crews helped a woman out of the SUV that rolled, as she was trapped following the accident. A total of three people were taken to the hospital by paramedics but are expected to be okay.
The roadway was closed at the intersection for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been provided. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
