Oxford, MS (October 17, 2020) – Around 3:45 p.m. on Friday, October 16, a car accident took place on a major roadway in Oxford.
The Oxford Police Department responded to the scene of the accident at 300 Merchants Drive in front of Dick’s Sporting Goods. There, they discovered that two or more vehicles collided with each other for reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved were badly damaged as a result of the accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were present at the scene of the accident where they helped those with injuries. The injured victims, who were not identified, were taken to the hospital for treatment.
The roadway was closed down in the area for an extended period of time while police worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues at this time.
