Oxford, MS – Car Accident on Washington Ave Leads to Injuries

Oxford, MS (October 23, 2020) – Around 5:55 p.m. on Friday afternoon, October 23, a car accident with injuries occurred in Oxford.

According to the Oxford Police Department, the accident took place at 413 Washington Avenue right in front of the Boys and Girls Club. It is believed that two vehicles collided with one another for reasons that are not yet known, causing an array of damages.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were present at the scene of the crash. They worked to assist those with injuries, though the extent of the injuries is not entirely known. One or more victims were hospitalized.

The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
