Oxford, MS (September 13, 2020) – Last evening, September 12, a car accident with injuries took place around 5:42 p.m. in Oxford.
Though few details have been released regarding the circumstances of the accident, it is believed that the collision took place at 502 South Lamar Blvd. in front of Four Corners Chevron. Multiple vehicles collided with one another for reasons that are still being investigated by police.
Paramedics, fire crews, and wreckers were present at the scene of the accident. The Oxford Police Department confirmed that one or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. The injured victims were transported to the hospital for treatment.
As a result of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area of the collision for some time.
Police continue their investigation into the circumstances leading up to the accident.
