Oxford, MS (August 21, 2021) – At 7:15 p.m. on the evening of Saturday, August 21, a multi-vehicle collision occurred on a roadway in Oxford.
According to the Oxford Police Department, the accident happened at 1050 Chickasaw Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their identities and conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
