Oxford, MS (August 28, 2021) – At 9:38 p.m. on the night of Saturday, August 28, a three-vehicle collision occurred on a roadway in Oxford.
According to the Oxford Police Department, the accident happened on Jackson Avenue. Three vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged. The vehicles were towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area for some time as police cleared the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
