Starkville, MS (August 2, 2021) – At 12:13 p.m. on the afternoon of Monday, August 2, a car accident occurred on a roadway in Starkville.
According to the Starkville Police Department, the accident happened on Old West Point Road around the area of Northgate and Walden Way. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with one another due to unknown reasons. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Two or more children in one of the vehicles were seriously injured as a result of the crash. The victims were rushed to local hospitals.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
