Madison, MS (December 23, 2021) – At 2:24 p.m. on the afternoon of Wednesday, December 22, a car accident with injuries occurred in Madison.
According to officials, the accident happened at the intersection of I-55 and MS-463. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same, forcefully colliding with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more parties sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
