Oxford, MS (December 13, 2021) – At 6:10 p.m. on the evening of Sunday, December 12, a car crash with injuries occurred on a major roadway in Oxford.
According to Oxford officials, the accident happened on the Patterson Parkway. Two or more vehicles were traveling on the highway when one or more lost control, causing the vehicles to forcefully collide with one another. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result of the collision.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were rushed to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
