Ripley, MS (July 12, 2021) – At 9:54 p.m. on the night of Sunday, July 11, a two-vehicle crash occurred on a major roadway in Ripley.
According to Tippah County officials, the accident happened on MS-4. Officials confirmed that two vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with one another. The vehicles involved in the collision were badly damaged and had to be removed from the roadway by tow trucks.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area for a period of time. Police urged those in the area to use caution and to expect delays.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
