Starkville, MS (July 5, 2021) – At 11:04 a.m. on the morning of Monday, July 5, a car accident with injuries occurred at a Starkville intersection.
According to the Starkville Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of Nash Street and Collegeview Street when two vehicles collided with each other. The vehicles allegedly entered the intersection at the same time. The vehicles involved in the crash were extensively damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims were hospitalized with injuries, though their conditions are not known at this time.
The roadway was blocked at the intersection until police cleared the scene. Police urged those in the area to use caution.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
