Starkville, MS (July 24, 2021) – At 1:53 p.m. on the afternoon of Saturday, July 24, a two-car crash with injuries occurred in Starkville.
According to the Starkville Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of MS-12 and Russell Street. Two vehicles collided with each other in the turning lane after they entered the intersection at the same time. The vehicles involved in the accident sustained severe damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured and taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
Officers blocked off a large portion of the intersection for some time as they cleared the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
