Starkville, MS (July 26, 2021) – At 11:30 p.m. on Sunday night, July 25, a two-vehicle accident took place on a roadway in Starkville.
According to the Starkville Police Department, the accident happened on Eudora Welty Drive around the area of the Avalon Apartment complex entrance. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hospitalized, though their conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the crash, the roadway was blocked for an extended period of time.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
