Oxford, MS (June 10, 2021) – At 12:51 p.m. on the afternoon of Thursday, June 10, a car accident occurred on a roadway in Oxford.
According to the Oxford Police Department, the accident happened at Phillp’s Grocery at 2406 South Lamar Boulevard. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other forcefully in front of the local grocery store. The vehicles involved in the accident were left with extensive damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local Oxford responders were dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area for some time until police cleared the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
