Oxford, MS (June 11, 2021) – At 4:35 p.m. on the afternoon of Friday, June 11, a car accident with injuries occurred on a roadway in Oxford.
According to the Oxford Police Department, the accident occurred at 1906 University Avenue near the local Dollar General. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other. The vehicles involved in the crash were extensively damaged due to the accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were injured in the crash. The victims were taken to the hospital for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the crash, the roadway was blocked in the area for a period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing at this time.
