Mendenhall, MS – Two Injured in Car Accident on MS-13

Mendenhall, MS (March 24, 2021) – Around 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24, a car accident with injuries occurred on a major roadway in Mendenhall.

According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, the accident happened on MS-13 and involved several vehicles. The vehicles involved included a Richland police vehicle, a Chevrolet Malibu, a Chevrolet Tahoe, a Ford F-550 work truck, and a Kia SUV. These vehicles were left with extensive damages.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were present at the scene. Fire crews extricated two occupants from the Chevrolet Malibu. The victims were taken to the University of Mississippi Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries.

Numerous other victims from different vehicles received minor injuries and were hospitalized.

The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.

No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
