Starkville, MS (November 12, 2021) – At 10:12 a.m. on the morning of Friday, November 12, a multi-vehicle collision with injuries occurred in Starkville.

According to Starkville officials, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of MS-82. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided forcefully with each other due to unknown reasons. One of the vehicles veered off the road and went into the center median. The vehicles involved were badly damaged as a result.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the collision. The injured victims were rushed to local hospitals for treatment of unknown injuries.

Due to the severity of the accident, the inside westbound lane was blocked for some time. This led to delays in the area.

No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
