Vancleave, MS (November 13, 2021) – Around 3 p.m. on the afternoon of Saturday, November 13, a fatal motorcycle accident occurred in Vancleave.
According to Jackson County officials, the accident happened on MS-57 near the area of the Honey Hole gas station. A motorcyclist was traveling in the area when it was suddenly struck by a passenger vehicle. It is believed that the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene. The motorcycle was left with extensive damages as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The motorcyclist, who has not yet been identified, was seriously injured in the collision. They were tragically pronounced dead at the scene due to these injuries.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
