Tupelo, MS (October 5, 2021) – On Monday, October 4, a man was killed in a fatal motorcycle crash with injuries on a highway in Tupelo.

According to Lee County officials, the accident happened on MS-6. A man identified as Michael Lambert was riding his motorcycle headed eastbound when a westbound vehicle struck him due to reasons that are not yet known. The motorcycle was left with extensive damages as a result of the collision.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Lambert was seriously injured as a result of the crash. He was tragically pronounced dead at the scene due to his injuries.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for a period of time as police worked to clear the scene.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol continues its investigation into the circumstances of the collision.
