Oxford, MS (September 29, 2021) – At 12:15 a.m. on the morning of Wednesday, September 29, a car accident occurred on a roadway in Oxford.
According to the Oxford Police Department, the accident happened at 113 South 9th Street around the area of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided due to reasons that are not fully known. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged as a result.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. One or more victims were injured in the accident. The injured victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
