Oxford, MS (September 1, 2021) – At 2:35 p.m. on the afternoon of Tuesday, August 31, a car crash with injuries occurred in Oxford.
According to the Oxford Police Department, the accident happened at 1520 Jackson Avenue in front of the Rice and Spice restaurant. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they suddenly collided with one another. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of unknown injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area for a period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
