Oxford, MS (April 2, 2022) – At 12:10 p.m. on the afternoon of Saturday, April 2, a car accident with injuries took place on a roadway in Oxford. 

According to Oxford Police, the accident happened at 1438 North Lamar Boulevard in front of Oxford Spot. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more lost control, causing the vehicles to forcefully collide with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result. 

Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known. 

The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene. 

No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
