Oxford, MS (April 14, 2022) – At 8 a.m. on Thursday morning, April 14, a car crash with injuries took place on a major roadway in Oxford.
According to Oxford Police, the accident happened at 1171 Frontage Road in front of the La Quinta Inn. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more lost control, causing them to forcefully collide with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Their identities and conditions are not known at this time.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the Inn for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues at this time. Police will update with more information as it is available.
