Mississippi Car Wrecks

Hinds County, MS - Major Car Wreck on Savannah St near Daniel Lake Blvd Every year, millions of auto collisions are reported in the United States. Millions of people sustain injuries in these wrecks and tens of thousands lose their lives. In one recent year, over 4.4 million people were so severely injured by car crashes in the US that they required hospitalization. A whopping 2 million people will suffer injuries that are so severe that they will be permanently disabled this year.

These collisions take place for a multitude of reasons. Right now, drunk driving causes more accidents in Mississippi than anything else. Speeding, driver distraction, and fatigue are three other leading types of driver negligence seen throughout the United States.

While on the road, drivers owe each other a duty of care. Each driver is responsible for their own alertness and awareness. They must stay sober and awake while behind the wheel of a moving vehicle so they can protect themselves and those around them. When drivers fail to uphold this standard of care, they risk their own lives and the lives of others. Looking down at your phone while behind the wheel may not seem like a horrible thing to do, however, it opens up the possibility for a car crash, which is something you never want to go through.
