Madison County, MS (July 30, 2022) – A car crash happened in Madison County just before 2:00 p.m. on the afternoon of July 28. Responders say the wreck happened at around 1:52 p.m. for reasons still being investigated.
According to reports, the wreck occurred on US-51 near Hoy Road. An unknown number of cars were involved in a crash that ended in injuries.
Paramedics treated one or more victims at the wreck site before transporting those in need of further care to area medical centers for treatment.
Currently, what led up to the accident is still under police investigation.
Traffic was delayed near the collision site for some time on the afternoon of July 28 while police and EMTs worked in the area. The roadway was blocked and local drivers had to find alternate routes.
