Jackson, MS (December 12, 2022) – A serious car accident happened in Jackson on the afternoon of December 12. Shortly before 4:00 p.m., a car accident was reported to officials in Madison County.
The wreck occurred on Interstate 55 near the Natchez Trace Parkway exit. At least two cars crashed in the area and injured those involved. The exit ramp was blocked while emergency responders worked to secure the area and assist injured victims.
Emergency personnel rendered medical aid to injured victims at the scene. One or more people were transported to local hospitals for treatment. The names of those involved have not been identified at this time.
Police in Jackson are still working to determine the cause of the accident. Few details are currently available to report.
