Mississippi Car Crashes
Being injured in an auto accident is never easy. Even if the crash was not severe, the experience often ends up being a headache and will cost more than expected. However, when auto accidents are severe, and people sustain serious injuries, victims often go through a very difficult time attempting to recover fully. Spending time stuck in the hospital and unable to work is no walk in the park. The average cost of a serious car crash injury is in the tens of thousands of dollars. The average American does not have this kind of money lying around, especially in 2022.
Car crashes happen for a multitude of different reasons, from vehicle malfunctions, poor vehicle maintenance, bad weather conditions, road construction, a combination of these, and, last but not least, driver negligence. Most often, car crashes are the result of the actions of negligent drivers. Statistics concerning auto accidents in the United States reveal that over 92% of car crashes are caused by some form of negligent driving. Be it intoxication, distraction, fatigue, or speeding, driver negligence contributes to millions of car accidents per year.
The United States sees approximately 6 million auto accidents per year. If over 90% of these are the result of driver negligence, then over 5 million car crashes are caused by the actions of negligent drivers per year. This is extremely alarming and scary. Drivers who choose to get behind the wheel while drunk, high, over-tired, in a hurry, or unwilling to follow traffic rules and regulations for whatever reason put themselves and everyone around them at severe risk for personal injuries and even death.
If you or a loved one of yours has been hurt by driver negligence, you deserve to be able to recover without having to worry about how you will make ends meet financially. Unfortunately, it can cost a lot of money to be injured in a car crash. From vehicle repairs to medical care costs, paired with wage loss, the bank accounts of injured crash victims often end up severely depleted due to the costs related to the accident and the injuries that followed.
