Jackson, MS – Major Vehicle Accident on I-55 near Siwell Rd

Jackson, MS (December 18, 2022) – A car accident occurred in Hinds County on the afternoon of December 17. Reports concerning the accident were made to authorities in the area at approximately 3:07 p.m. 

At least one person sustained injuries in the collision that happened on Interstate 55 past Siwell Road. The southbound right lane was blocked while emergency crews worked in the area. 

One or more individuals were treated for injuries on-site and transported to local hospitals for treatment. The injured victims have not been identified at this time. 

Authorities in Jackson continue to investigate the details of the incident.
