Oxford, MS (February 18, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a car accident that took place on a roadway in Oxford on Thursday night, February 17.
According to the Oxford Police Department, the accident happened around 10:45 p.m. at 400 North Lamar Boulevard in front of the Graduates Hotel. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The involved vehicles were damaged as a result.
Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
