Oxford, MS (February 5, 2022) – On Friday evening, February 4, a car accident with injuries took place on a roadway in Oxford.
According to Oxford Police, the accident happened on Old Taylor Road in front of Taylor Meadows. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more lost control, causing the vehicles to collide forcefully with one another. The involved vehicles were extensively damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. The victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their identities and conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area for a period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
