Oxford, MS (February 2, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a serious car crash that took place in Oxford on Wednesday afternoon, February 2.
Oxford Police reported that the collision happened around 1:20 p.m. at 1900 University Avenue in front of the local McDonald’s restaurant. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they suddenly collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged as a result.
Numerous responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the collision. The injured parties were hospitalized, though their identities and conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time until police cleared the scene.
