Oxford, MS (February 10, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a car crash that took place on a roadway in Oxford on Thursday afternoon, February 10.
Oxford Police confirmed that the collision happened around 3:10 p.m. at 400 Merchants Drive in the area of Ross Dress for Less. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they suddenly collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained serious injuries in the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene. This led to delays in the area for some time.
