Flowood, MS (January 21, 2022) – On Friday, January 21, a five-vehicle crash with injuries occurred on a roadway in Flowood.
Flowood Police confirmed that the accident happened around 12 p.m. on Vine Drive. Several vehicles were driving in traffic when five vehicles collided with each other in a chain-reaction collision due to reasons that are not entirely known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those with injuries. Several people in the accident sustained serious injuries. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
Due to the severity of the collision, a large portion of the roadway was blocked for an extended period of time. Police worked to clear the scene so traffic could resume as normal.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing at this time.
