Starkville, MS (January 9, 2022) – On Sunday afternoon, January 9, a car crash with injuries occurred at an intersection in Starkville.
Starkville Police confirmed that the accident happened at the intersection of MS-12 and Russell Street. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, causing the vehicles to forcefully collide with each other. The involved vehicles were extensively damaged as a result.
Paramedics and numerous other responders, including Starkville fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were hospitalized as a result, though their conditions are not known at this time.
Due to the severity of the collision, several lanes of traffic were blocked at the intersection for some time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
