Tupelo, MS (January 18, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a car accident that took place at an intersection in Tupelo on Tuesday, January 18.
The accident, according to police, happened in the afternoon hours at the intersection of McCullough Boulevard and Coley Road. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when both of the vehicles entered the intersection, forcefully colliding with one another. The involved vehicles had to be towed from the scene due to severe damages.
Numerous responders, including Tupelo fire crews and paramedics, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the collision. The injured parties, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
Due to the severity of the collision, a large portion of the intersection was blocked for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
