Oxford, MS (July 7, 2022) – On the afternoon of July 4, a serious car crash happened in Oxford that required an emergency dispatch. At around 2:40 p.m., police and paramedics were sent to the scene to help those involved. 

Sources say the wreck happened in the 2300 block of Jackson Avenue West near Smoothie King. An unspecified number of cars collided in the area causing injuries. 

At least one person was transported to the hospital with injuries. Currently, those involved have not been identified. Numerous responders were observed at the scene including paramedics, police, and fire crews. 

At this time, authorities continue to investigate the details of the incident. No further information concerning the accident has been reported at this time.
