Oxford, MS (June 19, 2022) - A severe car crash happened in Oxford on June 19. Responders were dispatched to the scene of the incident shortly after it occurred in order to help those involved.
Information from reports shows that the incident occurred in the 2000 block of Jackson Avenue West near the Sonic Drive-In. What led up to the crash remains under investigation by police at this time.
Paramedics rendered emergency aid to one or more victims at the scene. Those with serious injuries were loaded into ambulances and transported to local hospitals for treatment as needed.
Currently, the injured victims have not been identified to the public.
Responders were in the area for a prolonged period, causing delays in traffic. Local motorists were urged to use different travel routes to avoid the active scene.
