Oxford, MS (March 29, 2022) – At 5:15 p.m. on the evening of Tuesday, March 29, a car accident with injuries took place on a roadway in Oxford.
According to the Oxford Police Department, the accident happened at 430 South Lamar Boulevard in front of Abner’s. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when one lost control, causing the vehicles to forcefully collide with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident sustained severe damage and had to be towed from the scene.
Several local responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their identities and conditions are not known at this time.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
