Forrest, MS (May 25, 2022) – A vehicle collision reported in Forrest County on Wednesday evening ended in injuries. Just before 7 p.m., on May 25, calls for assistance came in surrounding an auto accident on US Highway 49.

Reports from authorities show that a collision between vehicles blocked all of the southbound lanes of US Highway 49 in the area near Classic Drive. The incident caused severe delays in the area as emergency crews worked to clear the scene.

Medical personnel rendered aid to victims on-site before transporting them to area hospitals for further care.

The circumstances surrounding the accident are under investigation.
