Oxford, MS (May 24, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a car accident that took place on a roadway in Oxford on Tuesday afternoon, May 24.
According to Oxford Police Department, the accident happened at 715 Molly Barr Road in front of the Oxford Police Department building. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not fully known. The involved vehicles sustained immense damage and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene so traffic would return to normal.
