Oxford, MS (May 14, 2022) – At 1:15 p.m. on the afternoon of Saturday, May 14, a car accident with injuries took place in Oxford.
According to Oxford Police, the accident happened at 709 North Lamar Boulevard in front of the Depot Antique Mall. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The involved vehicles sustained severe damages and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their identities and conditions are not known at this time.
Due to the severity of the collision, the roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
