Oxford, MS (May 16, 2022) – Injuries stemmed from a car accident that took place on a roadway in Oxford on Monday, May 16. 

According to Oxford Police Department officials, the accident happened at 1711 Anderson Road in front of LaFayette Place. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not entirely known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result of the collision. 

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hurt as a result of the collision. One or more victims were hurt as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. 

The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene so traffic could return to normal. 

No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
