Vicksburg, MS (May 6, 2022) – A rollover accident took place before midnight on the night of Friday, May 6, at a Vicksburg intersection.
Initial reports by the Vicksburg Police Department confirmed that the accident took place at the intersection of US-61 and Glass Road. It is believed that two vehicles collided with one another. One of the vehicles flew off the side of the road and into a ditch, where it overturned. The blue sedan was photographed completely upside-down with severe damages.
Several Vicksburg responders were immediately called to the scene to help those in need. One person inside the flipped vehicle was severely injured in the collision. The unidentified party was hospitalized, though their condition is not yet known.
The roadway was blocked at the intersection for a period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the collision continues.
