Meridian, MS (November 26, 2022) – Two people died and one was transported to the hospital after a two-car accident on Thursday, November 24. Reports show the wreck happened on the off-ramp of 22nd Avenue in Meridian.
What caused the wreck is currently unclear. A witness who saw the collision stated that a black vehicle lost control and slid into the opposite traffic lane. He then struck another vehicle before they both ended up in the middle of the road.
Two people lost their lives in the collision and one sustained serious injuries. Multiple responders were seen working at the wreck site a short time after the crash happened.
The names of the victims have not been reported at this time. Authorities in Meridian continue to investigate the details of the accident.
