Wren, MS (November 21, 2022) – A pedestrian sustained serious injuries in a car wreck on Tuesday morning, November 15. The wreck happened in Monroe County shortly after midnight, according to reports.
Mississippi Highway Patrol reported the incident occurred along Highway 45 near Buchanan Road, south of Nettleton. A driver saw a pedestrian on the side of the road and pulled over to check if they needed help. Shortly after they pulled over, another vehicle rear-ended their car and then struck the pedestrian.
The pedestrian has not been identified at this time. They were transported to a hospital in Tupelo to be treated for injuries they sustained in the accident.
Neither one of the drivers sustained injuries in the accident. Police in Wren continue to investigate the details of the accident.
