Oxford, MS (October 4, 2022) – At around 7:25 p.m., on the evening of October 4, a serious auto accident took place in Oxford. Calls were made to police in the area who responded to the scene as quickly as possible. 

The incident happened near Wendy’s in the 1900 block of Jackson Avenue West. An unknown number of vehicles crashed and injured one or more parties involved. 

Emergency vehicles were seen at the scene, including police cars, ambulances, and fire trucks. It remains unclear at this time how many individuals required emergency medical care. 

The roadway was blocked while responders worked in the area. Authorities asked local drivers to use caution and find alternative routes of travel if possible.
