Oxford, MS (October 4, 2022) – On the afternoon of October 4, a serious car wreck happened in Oxford. Crews were dispatched to the scene at around 1:50 p.m. to help the involved parties. 

Reports from officials state that the incident occurred near Oxford Sip Nutrition in the 1500 block of University Avenue. Vehicles collided for reasons still being investigated by authorities. 

At least one person was in need of emergency care at the crash scene. The names of the involved parties were not immediately reported. 

Traffic was backed up in the area for an extended time period on the afternoon of October 4. Police in Mississippi are working to determine the cause of the accident.
