Coffeeville, MS (September 28, 2022) – Police were sent to the scene of an automobile accident on the morning of September 25 in Coffeeville. Reports indicate the wreck occurred at around 9:37 a.m. on US 51. 

According to information from local officials, the collision occurred on US 51 near MS 330 for currently unknown reasons. One or more people were in need of medical attention at the wreck site. 

Paramedics treated injured victims at the crash scene before taking them to local hospitals by ambulance. The names of the involved parties were not immediately released. 

All lanes of the roadway were blocked in both directions for several hours on the morning of September 25. What led to the accident is under police investigation at this time. 

Traffic was stalled in the vicinity of the accident scene while local responders were present. Police are still investigating the circumstances of the collision.
