Wiggins, MS (September 27, 2022) – A serious car crash happened in Wiggins on the morning of September 26. At approximately 9:06 a.m., calls were made concerning the auto accident on US 49.
The Mississippi Department of Transportation stated that a semi-truck was involved in the accident. How it happened is still under police investigation.
Reports concerning the wreck stated that it happened on US 49 at 10 Mile Road. Two or more vehicles crashed and caused injuries. Those with injuries were treated by paramedics on-site.
The number of people who required transportation to the hospital has not been reported at this time. Authorities in Wiggins are still investigating the circumstances of the collision.
Drivers were advised to use extreme caution in the area while the wreck site was occupied by emergency crews.
