Hernando, MS (January 31, 2023) – Calls were made to emergency dispatchers in DeSoto County concerning a serious car accident on the morning of January 31. Shortly before 7:00 a.m., emergency crews were sent to the scene of a collision on Interstate 69. 

Police say the wreck occurred on I-69 North near I-55 South. The northbound lanes of traffic were blocked while crews worked on the roadway. 

At least one individual involved in the accident suffered injuries. EMS evaluated and treated injured victims at the crash scene. Currently, the severity of the injuries suffered in the collision remains unknown. 

Authorities in Hernando continue to investigate the details of the accident.
